In the next two years, construction work will be carried out in several stages in the area of Bautzner Straße/ corner of Prießnitzstraße. This not only affects the traffic flow but also the parking possibilities for our guests.
The aim of the measure is to repair the flood damage (Elbe floods 2013) to the Prießnitz Bridge and to carry out fundamental repairs to the track and catenary systems, carriageways and footpaths as well as the barrier-free expansion of the stops in the area of the “Diakonissenkrankenhaus”. During the construction work, we will of course remain open and inform you regularly about changes regarding the parking situation or further travel options.
If you are planning to visit us for a longer period of time, we recommend that you revisit this article beforehand and get more information.

Construction work on Bautzner Straße – how to reach us
The construction section has reached a new stage, which has further implications for traffic flow. Out of town traffic will now be diverted via Holzhofgasse. This already begins at the corner of Bautzner Straße and Lessingstraße.
The car park at Prießnitzstraße 2 can therefore not be used. We recommend the following parking options:
- Private parking space on Bautzner Straße 61 (approx. 3 min walk from us)
- Parking garage on Bautzner Straße 29 (approx. 5 minutes walk from us)
For those who are willing to walk a little further through the Neustadt, you can also use the parking spaces on Carolinenstraße and Theresienstraße. These are located directly on Albertplatz. From here it is about a 15 minute walk to us.
Albertplatz is a junction for various lines of the Dresden public transport system. Therefore, you can also use public transport from here.
Due to the construction work, tram line 11 cannot run as usual. Therefore, the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe have set up a replacement service.
Buses with the number EV 11 will be used between Neustadt main station and Bühlau. These will continue to serve the stops “Pulsnitzer Straße” and “Diakonissenkrankenhaus”.
We recommend that you get off at Pulsnitzer Straße and walk the three minutes to us.
All information on departure times and suitable connections can be found on the website of the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe: https://www.dvb.de/de-de/
A very comfortable and at the same time informative journey you get with the Dresden city tours. During the trip, the route takes you through various parts of the city such as Striesen, Blasewitz and Neustadt.
During the grand city tour, you have the opportunity to get off at 22 stops and see the sights or the surroundings at your leisure. Depending on the timetable, you can get on the next bus every 15 to 30 minutes and continue your journey. Design the day according to your wishes.
Main stop: Postplatz, at the level of the crown gate from the Zwinger
However, boarding is possible at every stop.
Restrictions due to the construction work: We currently have no information on this. The stop “Pfunds Molkerei” can be reached normally.
All information on departure times and ticket prices can be found on the Dresden city tour website: https://www.stadtrundfahrt.de/
It is currently no longer possible for coaches to stop directly in front of our dairy shop. We are currently trying to find a parking space for buses at 75 Bautzner Straße. Currently, guests can get on and off there. However, the bus drivers should please make sure that the stop of the blue city tour is not blocked.
When approaching, the route should also be chosen in such a way that it takes place in the direction of the city via Radeberger Straße. There are no turning facilities for buses on the opposite side. Wolfgasse cannot be used for the onward journey either, as it is very narrow and does not offer enough space for turning.
As soon as there are any changes to the above, we will communicate them immediately. However, if you are unsure about how to get there, please feel free to contact us. You will find the contact details here.
We look forward to your visit with us!
